Every American citizen who believes in the FairTax is essentially an ambassador for this cause. As ambassadors, we need your help to spread the word to those who are not familiar with The Fair Tax movement and legislation.  When citizens understand the FairTax, they become passionate about it. Passionate people will contact their representatives in Washington D.C. and that is what will build support for the FairTax in Congress.

Perhaps the most important concept to remember is that The FairTax is a nonpartisan Pro America initiative that speaks to the heart of anyone who wants to support a healthy economy and have control over their personal finances. We think it is important to communicate the basic premise that under the FairTax program all federal taxes would be collected by each individual state through a consumption tax. Since the government would not be withholding taxes of any kind the IRS could be disbanded. What could be simpler? You pay your federal taxes at the cash register and APRIL 15th becomes just another spring day!

It is also important to understand and communicate that tax costs now levied on American producers results in higher retail prices because those costs are passed along to consumers. AS much as 20% of American companies' producer price--which translates into the retail price--are "embedded" and hidden tax costs.  Under the FairTax, these cost are erased forever which will translate in lower retail prices.  The FairTax is revenue neutral and will result in raising the same amount of revenue as now collected by the IRS and in Social Security and Medicare taxes. However, by eliminating the collection process you remove the federal government’s direct access to your income and take home 100% of your paycheck, free of federal withholding and payroll taxes. You determine for yourself how you wish to manage your finances, when you pay taxes and how much tax you pay--based on your consumption decisions.

The FairTax has huge advantages for you personally and for the country on so many levels.  If you truly understand the FairTax it’s reasonable to think “What’s not to love about it.” The problem is that the vast majority of your fellow citizens really know no very little about it.   The FairTax has 65 supporters in Congress: courageous leaders who have come out publically to support FairTax and that number is growing. But most are still sitting on the fence waiting to see whether the FairTax has voter support or not. To get the FairTax passed will take direct pressure from the public.  As a supporter of the FairTax, we ask you share your enthusiasm with friends, family, and associates to help build support.

You can find out whether your congressperson supports the FairTax. Under Take Action you can contact your congressperson. Most importantly we need you to contact your Congressmen and tell them that you support  the FairTax. Once you have contacted your congressperson  then invite others to do so as well. This is a true grass roots campaign.

The key to the success of the FairTax is to build members and momentum. There are over 140 million employed people in the USA. Most of them would prefer to take home their entire pay check. Most of them would rather not live in fear of an IRS audit. Most of them would like to see the USA get back on its economic feet (and stay that way). The objective of the National Victory Movement is to reach out and engage as many as possible to join the movement and support FairTax.org. If the membership applies pressure to the representative in Washington then there is a stronger likelihood that Congress will debate the FairTax and move to a vote. Without pressure from the voters, we are looking at a classic political slow roll.
